Dr. Spence graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. She worked for 13 years, serving 8 years as a medical director, at an animal practice in Edmonton before moving to the West Coast to Sechelt Animal Hospital, where she has been practicing since 2015 and as medical director since 2018.
Rachael is an outdoor enthusiast who loves running and hiking. She also has an incredible love for Africa, travelling to Kenya and Rwanda and continuing the development and support of an agriculture project she founded in Rwanda called “The Udder Project” that helps improve the health of local livestock through education and training.
